About the Author:

Anthony Wilkins, was born and raised in Leicestershire. The eldest child of Mick and Sue. On completion of schooling, he elected to see the world and spent just short of 25 years serving in the Royal Navy. Married to Vanessa, he has three children, settling in Cornwall towards the end of his Naval career, he is now enjoying his “retirement” career on the railway, where he can devote his spare time to his family, and of course, creative writing in the form of poetry.

Worshipful Brother Anthony joined Freemasonry as he neared the end of his military career; he was looking for the same kind of camaraderie and belonging he had enjoyed for the entirety of his working life thus far. He thought it was likely he could find this with Freemasonry, through discussion with an old friend and mentor, who also happened to be a Freemason.

Anthony was initiated into Penwith Lodge in 2014. Since that time, he has become a member of The Millennium Lodge of Cornwall, aided in creating a University Scheme lodge for the Province of Cornwall – Lodge of the Chisel, exalted into St Levan Chapter in Penzance, and, advanced into St Michael’s Lodge of Mark Master Masons. He will also shortly be joining the Knights Templar Degree, and is the current Reigning Worshipful Master of The Millennium Lodge and Vice Chairman of the Trelawny Light Blues, a visiting and social network for new and young masons in Cornwall.

Anthony has had a passing interest in rhyming poetry since childhood where, as an immature young man, quick rhymes were made up for the amusement of his friends. Now, as a Freemason, he has found an outlet for this creativity and enjoys making rhyming poetry about his passions of freemasonry, his time in the services, and as a Community Safety Volunteer with the RNLI.

Now realising an ambition to become a published author and poet, it is his desire to raise awareness of freemasonry and its principles of  brotherly love, relief and truth; whilst also raising money for a number of charitable causes, donated by a percentage of all profits, through the Masonic Charitable Foundation.
